In this latest Schools Program Report, there are many highlights:

  • The Children’s Academy added another class of 30 students, bringing the total to 218 in six grades: three pre-K and first through third.
  • 73,600 parent service hours were recorded during the 2016-17 school year.
  • There are currently 7 Village Savings and Loan groups with 235 participants going strong. Five new groups with nearly 150 members are getting started this fall.
  • During the summer we held our 6th annual Teacher Summit training in Darbonne, Leogane. This is the largest training we hold all year and the methods covered become the basis for what our schools will work on throughout the school year.

As ever, thank you for your interest and support of this important work. We couldn’t do it without you!
