At the start of the 2024 – 2025 academic year, Pedagogy Director Jouvresse, along with teachers Rachelle and Valès, asked a simple yet powerful question to their students:
What do you want to achieve this year? One by one, the students spoke. Their answers echoed the same dream: “We want to work together in Konbit to be our best.”
When asked to name their class, the word “Optimum” emerged and stuck.
Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate this remarkable group of 39 students, 20 girls and 19 boys, who have finished primary school together at The Children’s Academy. Despite the challenges they face in their everyday lives, these students show up. They rise early, help their families, walk to school, and learn with determination and joy. They lift one another and work in Konbit with their teachers, parents, and community to grow, learn, and lead.

The Optimum class is more than a name; it’s a mindset, a declaration of excellence, and a vision for a brighter future.
Thank you to all of you who support Haiti Partners. Your commitment makes it possible for these students to reach this milestone and dare to dream further. This is what dignified education looks like. Together, we can plant the seeds for a just, culturally conscious, resilient Haiti.
To the graduates of Optimum and the remarkable caring teachers: You did it. We are so proud of you.
