When asked what it’s like out there, Steeven replied, “There is no place like home. The Children’s Academy is my home. I am happy to be back.”
This month we honor Steeven, a 10th grader who began at The Children’s Academy in 2012 as a 3-year-old. After escaping gang violence with his father and sister by moving out of the community for six months, Steeven returned back to The Children’s Academy, passed his National Exam, and is continuing his education with pride.
