Come and See

Haiti Partners is regularly asked by churches, businesses, and individuals if we have mission trips or opportunities for people to come to Haiti and do something concrete to help. The answer is: Yes! We’d love for you to come.

Volunteering with Haiti Partners

As an organization we strive to never take jobs from Haitians. The purpose of Haiti Partners’ trips and volunteer opportunities is to facilitate visits with people who either are, or want to become, committed long-term partners with us in this work. We want to provide our Haitian colleagues with assistance and/or expertise that specifically responds to the needs they’ve expressed. A few of the specific requests from our Haitian colleagues are:
  • Training in computers: Word, Excel, Internet, QuickBooks, photo/video software, etc.
  • English Instruction/Conversation
  • Pre-School and Elementary Education and Teacher Training
  • Written Translation of documents from English into Haitian Creole or French (this does not require travel to or work to be done in Haiti.)
  • Pre-School and Elementary Education and Teacher Training
  • Photography
  • Work along side parents in the permaculture garden
  • Make handmade paper and/or art projects with students
Please contact us if you or your group are interested in coming to do a specific project working alongside Haitians. To meet current and past volunteers and interns, click here.

Why Our Visitors Need to be Partners

In an effort to be good stewards of our expertise and resources, and to ultimately use them to help Haitians change Haiti through education, we team up with people and groups who are going to help us to truly impact the educational opportunities for Haitian children. It is our hope that or your group – school, church or company – can get excited about finding additional financial resources to improve education in Haiti, and that these efforts might lead you to come and have meaningful engagements with Haitians. If you’ll already be in Haiti and simply want to stop by and see our work please indicate that in the Visitors form. We are eager to engage with you and look forward to hearing from you.

We’re sorry to tell you that we are currently not accepting applicants to visit or volunteer in Haiti. While we cherish the opportunity to introduce people to Haiti and our work there, our first priority is always the safety of those we host. Unfortunately, between the unstable political situation and the presence of COVID-19 in Haiti, we simply can’t guarantee this right now.

In the meantime, we invite you to fill out the visitor or volunteer form and we’ll keep your info on hand and will get back in touch once the Social Impact Travel program is up and running again. We also invite you to stay in touch by connecting with us on FacebookInstagram or Twitter.

Thank you for your understanding!
