Children’s Academy 2nd Annual Reading Contest Winner: 8th grader, Daïka!

Since last year The Children’s Academy has held an annual reading contest for students 7th grade and up. It aims to improve reading skills, encourage critical thinking, introduce students to the broader world, and to and reduce the time they might otherwise spend on social media. Despite extraordinary challenges, this year’s winner was 8th grader, Daïka. Learn her full story here.

This is a truly extraordinary outcome, especially for a school sending students for the first time. Reservoir project provides water security to remote Partner School

Recognizing water insecurity as a vital issue at our Partner School in Bèl Platon, steadfast partner, Schools Count Corp., stepped up to fund repairing the school’s existing water reservoir as well as building an addition onto it. The school now has the capacity to capture appx 11,500 gallons of rain water to support students and staff, as well as the broader school community! Learn more.

Join us for the 3rd annual Music for Good emerging artist showcase, Thursday, September 25, in Hershey, PA!

Stronger Together annual Haiti Scholarship Benefit to take place Wednesday, November 12, in San Francisco

The Stronger Together Haiti Scholarship Benefit is an opportunity to gather friends and colleagues to support students in Haiti over cocktails, Caribbean music, and good conversation.
