Recently we had the pleasure of receiving a small four-person delegation from the St. Lucia Ministry of Education at the Children’s Academy. In this short video, School Coordinator, Alex Myril, asks them about their impressions. We’re pleased to share that, from their perspectives as professional educators, the themes that emerged were:

• student independence
• choice in the learning process
• fun and joy
• community involvement
• a strong sense of common purpose

“… it feels like this is a family: the school and parents and children are all part of one family with a common goal.”

And that common goal? To make life better for themselves and their community, together.
