Home Gardens/Jaden Lakay project reaches the goal!
We are very excited to share that thanks to a small number of very generous supporters and foundations, we have succeeded in fully funding the Home Gardens/Jaden Lakay Project!
The Home Gardens project was designed as a long-term response to the threat of hunger resulting from COVID-19 in Haiti. To date, 78 water catchment systems have been installed and are fully functional and 60 gardens have been created. When complete in the next year, this project will impact over 1400 people and 200 families.
In this video, we get a tour by 6th grader Herdes’ dad in one of the first gardens to benefit from this project.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this important work. We are very grateful!
