On this Labor Day, Haiti Partners salutes all those who work, in the US, Haiti and everywhere. One of the ways we try to celebrate labor throughout the year is by creating a culture of respect and joy in the workplace so that our employees will love their jobs.

Recently, Children’s Academy Coordinator, Alex Myril, captured what this looks like at the Children’s Academy on video. After their summer break, the entire staff gathered for their first meeting in weeks and the symbolic beginning of the 2017-18 school year. Excited by their joy to be back at work together, everyone started dancing and hugging each other. There couldn’t have been a better way to launch the school year, with an abundance of smiles, positive energy and laughter.
