It’s another terribly sad moment in Haiti’s difficult history. Political instability has brought progress to a halt. Today, schools, businesses and even the airport were closed and some government buildings destroyed. Click here for a good article.
The good news is that I (John Engle) have spoken and communicated with a number of colleagues, all of whom are safe with their families. Looking for additional positives, it’s good to see that people who are manipulating election results are not going to get away with it without a fight. It’s just a shame that the outcomes includes destruction and some violence.
