Update from Bèl Platon Community School

Our most remote partner school is located on the island of La Gonave. From Port-au-Prince it takes about a day to get there by bus, then boat, then 4×4 or motorcycle. It’s called Bèl Platon Community School.

Periodically we get video updates from the school. This one is of a school-wide sanitation, environmental protection and cleanliness training held last month. This is particularly relevant in this area which is completely rural and undeveloped: no paved roads, no electricity, no piped water, no health services, etc. In this setting, knowledge on these topics and good practices in them can literally save lives.
