As described in a previous post, Haiti Partners is thrilled to be developing a partnership with Extollo International, a San Francisco-based non-profit whose vision is “to create a trained workforce in Haiti with employable skills so Haitians can rebuild Haiti.” Haiti Partners’ partnership with Extollo will involve them training tradespeople in Baocia, the site of the Children’s Academy, as they build the social business bakery whose profits will support Children’s Academy operations. Extollo will also play a vital role in helping Haiti Partners to support this group of local tradespeople to establish their own social business construction firm which will create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the community.
