After another challenging year, we are pleased to share that The Children’s Academy was able to conclude on time, including three separate graduations. One was for the 6th graders – the self-named 2031 “Victory” class. One was for the “Banana Class” of kindergarteners who will be moving onto primary school. And, the final was for parents in our Community Change Groups.
To provide students with skills that could eventually provide them a source of income, in July The Children’s Academy offered a “Learning for Life” summer session. This session included a series of two week classes in everything from ceramic tiling, to cutting hair, making soap, giving manicures/ pedicures, and braiding hair. Learn more.
These pictures are from the kindergarten graduation at our Partner School, Henri Christophe Community School. We are thrilled to see our partner schools continue to make progress despite the very challenging circumstances they faced throughout the school year, and couldn’t be happier for these wonderful children and their proud families and teachers!
Music for Good is an annual “Emerging Artist Showcase” benefitting students in Haiti. It will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 7-9pm ET at The Englewood in Hershey, PA. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities can be found on the event page: musicforgood.live.
The Stronger Together Haiti Scholarship Benefit is an opportunity to gather friends and colleagues to support students in Haiti over cocktails, Caribbean music, and good conversation.
