Partners Retreat April 26-27, 2013
Our 3rd Annual Partner’s Retreat will be April 26-27, 2013! “Connecting for Change” will be the theme. Friends and partners in this work will come together from across the US, Canada, and Haiti. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and have fun together as we talk about the ways that we can make change possible in Haiti, at home, and around the world.You’ll hear a “State of the Union” on Haiti Partners’ work from John and Kent, and get to know five of our key Haitian colleagues. But we’re most excited about the slate of experts from diverse fields who will help us broaden and deepen our understanding of change in the world. Through TED-style talks and Open Space breakout groups, we’ll get to interact with:
- Jonathan Scoonover – Building a Global Movement for Child Protection
- Christa Brelsford – Confronting Water Scarcity in the American Southwest
- Sara Wolf – Transforming Education in Haiti
- Laura Timm – Engaging the Private Sector for Good
- Valery Vital-Herne – Mobilizing the Haitian Church for Justice
- Linda Peia – Building Network of Social Entrepreneurs/Change Makers in Carribbean
These are just some of the exciting speakers we’ll have; more are still to be added. And soon, we’ll be able to announce the line-up for our “Lightning Round”, quick talks featuring an idea, practice, or product that’s revolutionizing education, technology, and social media for change.
