WOZO Choir in Ponce, Puerto Rico
March 16, 2012
WOZO Choir’s first day in Ponce, Puerto Rico is going GREAT! Below are some photos of WOZO visiting Liceo Ponceno and performing as part of their 100th year anniversary celebration. The warmth and generosity from school director Rita Rodrigez, her assistant Midred Pereles, Haitian-born Marie Arteaga who is responsible for cafeteria (and a great breakfast for us!) as well as from teachers and students was a gift.
More photos and videos will be forthcoming. There are also photos (below or in link) of where WOZO will be performing tonight in center square and then Sunday am during Mass in the Cathedral.
We couldn’t be more grateful to Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Puerto Rico, Catholic Dioceses of Ponce, Municipality of Ponce and Puerto Rico Community Foundation for making it possible for WOZO to come participate in the 5th Annual Discover Puerto Rico Choir Festival. Thank you to Prof. Colon Tarrats for putting it all together.
