Construction Going Strong at Children’s Academy and Learning Center

In Partner Schools, Quality Schools Program

June 4, 2012

I’m (John Engle) delighted to report that construction is going strong. There’s been great progress during the last week and the reputable Miyamoto International, an earthquake and engineering firm is overseeing correction of several errors. Miyamoto International will continue supervise construction until this first building is finished to make sure that it is structurally sound. Here’s a brief video from last week:

Click here for photos taken today. It’s really encouraging to see how the local Haitian firm is working hand in hand with Miyamoto to make sure all is done well. There’s a great team spirit at work. Parents of 16, 3 and 4 year olds have registered their children to begin school at Children’s Academy in September. We’re confident that we’ll reach our goal of 25 in coming weeks. In addition to a primary school, the building will be used in afternoon and evenings for adults and young people.
